Last month, the Sonsi Team headed up to NYC to attend the Fashion Forward Conference. The conference was an amazing mix of bloggers, mothers, industry professionals, and especially: fashion! We also had the opportunity to dress three amazing women in Sonsi … and we can’t wait to show you their looks! But before we start, here is a little more info on the Fashion Forward Conference from their website:

The Fashion Forward Conference aims to to bring aspirational and attainable fashion and style to real moms – after all why should women lose their sense of style just because they became moms?

On September 19th, the Fashion Forward Conference will bring over 250 influential bloggers, media and brand executives to NYC for a one-day conference filled with fashion shows, style tips, informative panels hosted by industry experts and interactive stations bringing fashionable brands and stylish bloggers together.

And now on to our bloggers!

Meet Nancy, from The Mama Maven

What did you wear from Sonsi + how did you like it?

I wore the Cassandra Two Tone Maxi Dress by SWAK Designs. The dress was gorgeous and I loved how the turquoise brought out my hazel eyes. The stylist actually changed how the dress looked on me by adding a fun infinity scarf and boots, so you can get two completely different looks with the same dress. Brilliant!

How did it feel to walk the runway?

Even though I was scared to death, I decided to strut my stuff… and it felt so empowering.

What is your #1 tip for busy moms who are looking to stay stylish? Find what works for your style. Do you prefer trendy, classic pieces or a mix of both? I tend wear a lot of black, but add a pop of color to keep things fresh and interesting.

Meet Sherry, from Superexhausted

What did you wear from Sonsi + how did you like it?

I wore the Striped Cardigan Sweater by Ulla Popken, Stretch Ponte Knit Slim-cut Leggings by Ulla Popken, and Leopard smoking slipper. I loved my outfit, it was on trend but wearable for everyday life. I can see me wearing it around town or a casual business lunch.  I loved the Shoes.. who does not love leopard.

How did it feel to walk the runway?

I loved walking for Sonsi.. I was nervous but the room filled with friends made it easy and knowing I looked great in Sonsi clothes made it easier. I loved that they mixed the sizes to make the perfect fit for my body.

What is your #1 tip for busy moms who are looking to stay stylish? In our daily lives we can’t always dress in the latest high fashion. But if you add jewelry and accessories, it can dress up any outfit, giving you the confidence and smile to feel great all day. Tip: Buy one or 2 pieces of a trendy jewelry or accessory every season so you always look stylish. Next tip: Wear a great bra that fits.

What is your #1 tip for busy moms who are looking to stay stylish?

Be true to yourself and your shape and find styles that fit both and not always follow what is “in” that season.
